Who We Are

 Vision and Mission

The vision of Alameda County Child Support Services is that all parents are fully engaged in the wellbeing of their children.

The mission of the Alameda County Child Support Services (ACCSS) is to encourage responsible parenting, family self-sufficiency, and child well-being by locating parents, establishing paternity, obtaining, modifying, and enforcing support obligations, and collecting support.

Your Connection to a Network of Support

We recognize that children and families need resources in addition to support, so we partner with other agencies to connect parents to help in finding housing, obtaining food, and meeting their employment and career goals.

Helping Parents Support Children

Child support is more than just a financial obligation; it’s a crucial part of fostering a stable and nurturing environment for children. Alameda County Child Support services works with you and the other parent to make sure your child gets the financial and health support they need to thrive.

We can help you by:

  • Getting a court order for child support and medical support (health insurance)
  • Collecting child support payments
  • Changing an existing court order when your situation changes

Our Approach

We believe the best child support outcomes result when both parents are engaged in the process. Our knowledgeable and friendly child support staff work with both parents to understand their unique situations and to help them to understand the child support process.

Our goal is to obtain child support orders that accurately reflect the financial circumstances of both parents so that their child receives support each month, and each parent can support themselves.
